Why make a Nile Cruise
The Nile cruise on the Nile River is the most popular way to discover this part of Egypt. There is a lot of choice; the most popular are the three or four day cruises.

A cruise on the Nile in Egypt. It is well known and very touristy. But you must have sailed on one of the most famous rivers in the world. Certainly also because the Nile was the most important waterway for the Ancient Egyptians. And the view of the various monuments and excavations from the water is extra special.

Nowadays, the choice of boat trips is particularly large at Luxor. You can get on the water for an hour, but you can also cruise in several days. Please note that in Luxor, for example, you have time to visit both the east and the west bank. You will soon lose a day here, but those who really want to see it really more.

What does such a cruise look like?

The cruise usually starts in Aswan and usually ends in Luxor. Or vice versa. Though you also have cruises that go to Abu Simbel, which is located further south. Furthermore, it is just like most cruises. You eat and drink on board, just like sleeping. The boat regularly stops at interesting places, including the famous Temple of Kom Ombo. Where you can leave the boat to view the temples, for example.

During a cruise far the Nile, it is wonderful to sit on deck in the early morning and simply observe what is happening along the banks of the Nile. People do the laundry, children play in the water and traditional boats pass by.

Many tourists book this before departure, but it is also possible at the various hotels and shops in the city. But this is not necessarily necessary. If you are flexible in your time, you can still arrange a place on a boat in both Aswan and Luxor. Thing well, because they ask for the main prize.
