Maintenance of door locks

Unlike commercial hardware standards, civilian hardware accessories have been used for a long time and are prone to many problems here and there. Especially for door locks, such high-load operating components have a long service life and will inevitably have a little failure. Some users and friends are often found that the damage to the door locks in the home is often caused by improper use or maintenance.

Some things to pay attention to in the maintenance of door locks:

Lubricant

Some friends often like to put some lubricating oil into the keyhole when the door lock is astringent or tight. In this way, the whole body of thedoor lock may be smooth, but because the oil is easy to stick to the ash, the keyhole will be locked later. Inside, it will easily accumulate dust and form oily putties, which will make the door lock more prone to failure.

The correct solution: Sharpen some pieces of pencils or some pieces of candles, blow them into the lock cylinder through a thin tube, and then insert the key to rotate it several times.

The door does not open well

In some cases, due to the gravity of the door leaf or the loose leaf of the door, the door leaf sinks and the door is not locked or opened smoothly. At this time, it is often difficult to open and lock the door with a key. At this time, do not twist the key forcibly, so as not to break the key and increase trouble.

The correct solution: Check the cause first. If the door leaf sinks due to loose leaflets, the loose leaflets should be fastened with screws. If the door frame is deformed or its cause is irrecoverable, you can start with the door frame and expand the lock tongue accordingly, so that the door lock can be opened and closed normally and smoothly.
