Where to Watch Frozen II (2019) Movie

The enormous success of Frozen: a frozen adventure left the certainty that there would be a sequel. The story did not need to be continued, but the commercial possibilities of such a phenomenon could not be wasted. As usually happens, what started out as something new and surprising became known and generated very difficult expectations to fulfill.

Frozen II draws on the past of Elsa and Anna's family in search of a plot. The sisters must travel to a forest that was caught in a kind of haze after a confrontation between the soldiers of the kingdom of Arendelle and the original people of Northundra. That place was very important in the history of her parents and perhaps contains some clue to understand Elsa's magical nature. Of course the protagonists are accompanied on the adventure by Kristoff, the love of Anna, and Olaf, the adorable snowman who brings charm and comedy.

Continuing with the paradigm shift of the princess stories that Frozen popularized : a frozen adventure , in this sequel the romantic concerns are put on Kristoff, taking second place, and treated with a lot of humor (including a fun music scene that mimics a video clip. romantic ballad). The center of the film continues to be Anna and Elsa, once again reinforcing their brotherly bond, both in searches that have to do with their identities and ambitions, far from the stories of princesses rescued by brave princes.

They are welcome changes in this type of stories aimed at the family audience. But, on the other hand, the lack of a strong antagonistic character takes away some of the excitement from the adventures of the sisters, who encounter many obstacles on their way, in addition to their own inmates, but not with a terrifying threat, like Maleficent (the one in Sleeping Beauty , not the Angelina Jolie version).

Beyond all this, Frozen II excels in the quality of the animation. The details of a less than passionate plot are worth overlooking for the admirable sequence in which Elsa tries to cross the sea and meets a water horse. Describing it is superfluous: suffice it to say, it lives up to Disney's great animated classics, and while the entire film has a beautifully aesthetic, that sequence encapsulates the power of animation as the embodiment of fantasy on screen.
