Read on to find out how to replace the laptop CPU or laptop processor for the Dell Vostro 1400.

For this purpose, you need to use tools such as a flat head and a flip screwdriver.

For your convenience, here is a tutorial defined in steps in which you will learn how various Dell components, if needed, are removed and put back.

Step 1: Remove the laptop battery to change the laptop CPU to another one, you need to remove the battery first, which is one of the important parts of Dell.

On the back of the laptop, push two locks, one in the upper left corner and one in the upper right corner to slide the battery out.

Step 2: Remove the plastic cover, remove the plastic cover that hides the radiator, and the plastic cover is part of the laptop.

This is done by removing 3 screws with the help of flipping the screwdriver and holding that piece of plastic.

Step 3: remove the radiator before unlocking the current laptop processor, your next step is to remove the radiator by unscrewing the 4 screws holding the radiator and using the flip screwdriver again.

Now you can lift the radiator and keep it on one side with ease.

For the laptop CPU, the radiator is one of the more likely laptop parts - cpu heat sink for heat dissipation.

Step 4: Unlock the laptop processor by using a flat head screwdriver.

You will find a slot for a flat head screwdriver at the top of the CPU socket, or you can say in the upper left corner of the CPU.

There you should place a flat head screwdriver and move a little left to remove the fixed laptop CPU.

Once completed, remove the laptop processor from the socket.

Be careful when handling laptop parts;

Make sure the pin is not bent.

Step 5: install the new processor and use the new processor after removing the existing laptop processor.

To properly install the new laptop CPU, match the corners, as you can clearly tell, which could be the right corner on the socket.

The lower right corner needs to be placed accordingly.

Before you get a good view, you tighten the laptop CPU and lock it in.

Fix it with a flat head screwdriver and turn it from left to right.

Step 6: After placing the laptop CPU in the correct position, paste the heat onto the CPU. The next step will be to apply hot paste.

Simply put, apply a pea-sized hot paste spot in the middle of the laptop processor.

Some parts of the laptop need to be particularly careful.

Therefore, this paste will be applied before installing the radiator, which helps to conduct heat more effectively.

Now, after applying the thermal compound, put the radiator back in its original position.

To Spread the paste easily, just press the radiator in the middle.

Fix the radiator in its position by tightening the screw diagonally.

Step 7: hide all backNow radiators by fixing the plastic back to its position, place 3 screws and tighten them.

You have successfully replaced the old laptop processor with the new one.
