Voice Clarity

 Your articulation is your biggest strength. It must be impeccable. Each word must be distinct so that the listeners can understand. Try to avoid any swallowing, mumbling, or garbling. You have to balance between the under-articulation and over-articulation. If you try to add much dramatic tone, sometimes the words lose the meaning. Again, a too-casual tone is also not right for the listeners. You have to know how to maintain the equilibrium in your voice. Clean Voice

 It is essential to minimize the mouth noise when you are performing the voice over. Some people automatically have lesser mouth noise. If you are one of the fortunate, then you need to develop your control on the noise making. The glottal stops or the smacking sounds are not at all welcome for the process.

• You can drink a lot of water to keep your mouth hydrated. It will help to prevent the lip-smacking tendency.
• Use the throat sprays, herbal teas, or the mouthwashes which will keep the vocal box clear.
•  In between the narrations, you can try chewing in the tiny pieces of green apple. Chewing gum or sucking the toffee can have an equally good effect. 

Establish a Connection

If you cannot understand what you are reading, you will never be able to give your best expressions. Your interpretation will be believable to the listeners only when they will perceive the emotions in your voice. If you cannot feel what the original speaker is trying to convey, you cannot express the same through your tonal changes. If you don’t have any interest in what you are saying, the listeners will also have no interest in listening to your words. 

Engaging Conversation

 It is not easy to sound conversational on the voice over. But if you can execute it, you will be an instant hit. The listeners must feel as if you are speaking spontaneously.
