There has been massive anticipation among players and fans for the first-ever IPL All-stars match. The match is supposed to be played for charity purposes. Earlier, the match was supposed to be held before the IPL 2020. But, according to recent news, BCCI has planned an All-stars charity match after the tournament. The tournament will run through 57 days. While corroborating, IPL 2020 Governing Council chairman Brijesh Patel said, “It will be after the tournament. We will see the performance of the players and on that basis, the two teams will be selected.” If BCCI successfully organize the match, it will create a history in the cricket world. This could become one of the iconic cricket matches as rumors are legends like M.S. Dhoni, Rohit Sharma, Ab Devilliers, and Virat Kohli may play from one team. According to sources, the Governing Council of BCCI and IPL will make only two teams playing against each other; one team from North India and the second from West and South India. If this happens, cricket fans can see strong players from teams like Delhi Capitals, Kings XI Punjab, Rajasthan Royals, and Kolkata Knight Riders playing together in one team. While, the other possible team would be Mumbai Indians, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Chennai Super Kings.
