It is best to have some limits for everything you do because over doing is always bad. The same goes for one the crucial thing that we need to live, the sun. Sun provides us light and energy and responsible for almost thing that happens to us. But overexposure from the sun can be very harmful and cause skin damage.

  • Sunburn

Sunburn is a type of skin condition in which the skin starts to turn red and emits pain when it touched. It happens because of the overexposure to Ultraviolet light from the sun or light from an artificial source of UV light like a sunlamp. Repeated exposure of UV light may also increase the risk of other skin conditions like skin pigmentation, wrinkles, and even cancer. If you experience a sunburn, it is recommended to get it treated right away to avoid any more damage.

  • Dry Skin

Dry skin is a type of skin condition in which the skin starts to become dry, rough, and some time cracked. It happens because overexposure from the sun absorbs all the moister and hydration from the skin, leaving it dehydrated. Dry skin can be irritating and very uncomfortable, and it can cause the skin to bleed and increases sensitivity. Some people have naturally dry skin, but if your skin starts to feel extra dry, get it treated right away.

  • Wrinkles

Wrinkles are a common skin condition that we all experience at some point of life. It usually develops when we age, and the speed of production of new skin cells becomes slow. When new and fresh skin cells don’t replace old cells, wrinkles start to develop. Now in case of overexposure from the sun can affect the skin cells and increase the speed of wrinkle formation.   • Sun Spots

Sun spots are a common type of skin condition in which flat brown spots develop on the skin. It happens because of overexposure to Ultraviolet light and radiation coming from the sun. Actinic keratosis is a type of skin condition that develops because of constant exposure to the sun. In this condition, the skin becomes scaly, and rough patches develop on the skin. Lips, ears, hands, and forearms are the common places for actinic keratosis to appear.   

Treatments Available for Sun Damage

There are many treatments available to treat skin damage done by overexposure. As these damages generally develop on the upper layer of the skin, chemical peel treatment, laser skin resurfacing treatment, and topical treatments can be used for treatment. In case of wrinkles or other severe conditions, it is recommended to go for a specific treatment.

Different types of sun damages can happen to anyone, even if you take full pre causes. But if you treat the damage in time, it can reduce the chances of permanent skin damage or any other skin condition.
