At present, no case of corona virus has been reported in Assam. Assam government minister Hemant Biswa Sharma gave this information by tweeting on Sunday. He wrote- The four and a half year old girl who was investigated at Jorhat Medical College and RMRC Dibrugarh on suspicion of corona virus has been found negative in the test i.e. she is not infected with corona virus. No cases of corona virus infection have been reported in Assam so far.

Earlier it was reported that a four-year-old girl has been found infected with the corona virus. However, the sample has been sent to ICMR for re-confirmation. Along with the child and his family, the hospital staff who supervised him were separated.

Deputy Commissioner Roshni Aparanji Korati told news agency PTI that the girl was found infected in the results of the investigation conducted on Saturday evening at Jorhat Medical College and Hospital. He said, 'We have sent the samples to the ICMR-RMRC laboratory of Lahowal in Dibrugarh district for re-examination.' The Deputy Commissioner said that the girl and her family live in Pulibor area of ​​the district and recently these people had taken a train journey from Bihar to Jorhat. He said that the family had come to Jorhat on 19 March and health workers noticed symptoms in the girl during their visit on 20 March and she was brought to the hospital.
