WHY AREN'T THE PLANETS URANUS AND NEPTUNE INCLUDED IN VEDIC ASTROLOGY

Our astrology is a gift from our great ancient sages, who were very powerful and could see the stars and their positions with naked eyes or thru their meditation. What ever knowledge we got from disciple of those sages who have spread this sacred knowledge among the people of the society, we continued with it for a long time as there was no need and we took it as dictum. According to astrology which is imparted to us by great sages, there are nine planets which governs the destiny of a person. Out of those nine planet two planets do not have physical form, they can not be see in the sky as they are derived from astrological calculations and these are Rahu and ketu.

Our sages did not considered the planets Uranus and Neptune because they are much more far from us compare to the other seven planets and so their impact on our life will be very negligible and so they were not considered in the horoscope which reflects our destiny. This two planets are so far that very powerful telescope is needed for observing them and still thru the telescope one could see a small dot like because of its presence so far.

Secondly in ancient days the events in one life was limited and not like today. For example if see it from profession point of view then in olden days there were only few profession which could be counted on fingers, but today there are lakhs of profession for which the combinations are not given in the ancient astrological text. In modern days there is lot of research work being carried out in the field of astrology and now modern days astrologer are also considering Uranus and Neptune’s positions in the horoscope to predict a particular event which they researched out with past datas and thus new dictum of astrology are also coming up in modern days time.

Astrology is a science which do not follow 100% astronomy. According to astrology Earth is considered in the center where we are living and other planets revolving around the earth. This is because in ancient days what those great sages saw with their naked eyes were consider as truth for them and so as they saw every thing from earth so they considered earth to be central and other planets revolving around it. They saw the Sun and the Moon as bright objects so they considered it as planets for their reference in astrology without going in the scientific astronomical aspects of it where stars and planets have different definitions. Even the retrogression of a planet is considered to be moving in backward direction, which actually is not real and its an illusion effect, but it is considered real as we see it moving in backward direction. Based on the backward movement, the astrological dictum were made and we follow them.

So based of that observation the ancient sages considered the Sun and the Moon as planets and deduced astrological dictum as per their positions in a person’s horoscope.
