Pray to Jesus for Christ

At the very end of my mission, my friend and I served in two hamlets located in the interior of the state of São Paulo, Brazil. In the two hamlets there is a shortcut through the forest that we have never passed because we are so at risk and that we seem unable to meet anyone there.

One afternoon as we approached the shortcut, the Holy Spirit touched my heart, giving me additional awareness that we should enter the forest. I looked at Elder Andrade and made him aware of the impression I just received. He mentioned to me that he already felt the same.

Shortly after we got down the unfamiliar path, we watched a woman going towards us. The road is narrow, and as we pass together together together together together together with together with together with him, we notice that he is crying.

When she looks up, she carries our influence to follow her to her house, where we meet her husband. Soon we will teach the gospel to this receptive couple. After more than one week we carry their influence to be baptized. We were happy when they immediately accepted because it had been a year since the last baptism in the ward. We are grateful we have acted in whispers to enter the road after that day.

However, shortly before the time of their baptism, the wife mentioned that she must speak to us. He mentioned that over the years he had achieved dreams repeatedly. In his dream he found himself waiting in downtown São Paulo. An older man approached him and mentioned two young men able to visit to influence his life. He afterwards witnessed two young men approaching, but his dream always ended at that point.

One day more than one week before, he was sweeping the floor in his house when a tone told him that two young men were approaching and that he must go then to the shortcut, where we first witnessed him. Unconscious of the whisper but willingly aware of the answer to his dream, he places his broom and goes on that path.

As he walked, the description of his dream came to mind as if in a film that ended together together together together together together with together with together with him afterwards witnessing faces coming from the two young men. He included witnessing that each was wearing a black sign. In the following moments, he said, Elder Andrade and I came out in front of him on that road. Emotions over him, and he was only able to cry.

Today, remembering that sacred experience, I felt the Spirit and once again watched in my mind a tear-filled face coming from that sister who embraced the gospel. Grateful, my friend and I have the sensitivity and courage to follow the path God wants us to go through that day.
