Dog cancer overview

Unfortunately, not only humans are affected by today diseases, but dogs as well. The cases of dog cancer are increasing and they manifest almost in the same way as in the case of humans. Once cancer is discovered early, there are many methods that can be implemented.

In order to be able to detect dog cancer, you as an owner can be particularly attentive to certain signs. Of course, regular check-ups to the veterinary can also provide a good insight. Usually, some of the common signs of canine cancer include eating difficulties, sores that don’t heal, nose or mouth bleeding, loss of appetite, difficulties in urinating and breathing, unexpected weight loss, lack of energy, variation of size in testicles and lumps in the breast area. Once you notice such signs in your dog, you should get him tested, in order to see exactly if there is something to be worried about.

There is a general diet for fighting cancer and for helping your dog live a longer life. Researches show that foods rich in protein and vegetables that fight cancer, such as cabbage, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, tomatoes, radish, carrots, kale, and cauliflower can help greatly when there are cases of canine cancer. Besides these, there are other supplements with vitamin E and C, fish oils that can also help fight this disease. Along with the veterinary, you can come up with a proper diet for the particular cancer type your dog has in order to reach the desired results. Herbal supplemental formulas have certain ingredients that can show promising results as well.
