A significant portion of Albania experiences Mediterranean climate with mild winters and dry, hot summers. The Köppen climate classification highlights five types of climate namely Mediterranean, oceanic, subtropical, subarctic and continental.

Arts and Culture of Albania
Albanian art is influenced by the culture, customs, and traditions of Albania. Albanian art is a mixture of Illyrian, Roman and Ancient Greek art forms. World witnesses the presence of Albanian art in the forms of architecture, pottery, sculpture, and mosaic.
Albanian culture is a blend of two cultural groups namely Ghegs and Tosks. Ghegs occupies the northern part of Albania while Tosks inhabit its southern portion. Cuisines from Italy and Turkey influence the cuisines of Albania. One of the largest Albanian festivals is the pagan Summer fest which falls on the fourteenth day of March. Gjirokastër National Folklore Festival is the festival of artistic music which occurs once in every five years.
