To find a plumber today you can always use the internet. Finding a plumber is not only made easy by the internet but you can even get in touch with the various plumbing associations across the UK. Whether you want to hire a plumbing contractor or find out about someone or even lodge a complaint against a plumbing contractor – everything is now possible on the internet.

In the UK there are three plumbing associations – Association of Plumbing and Heating Contractors England and Wales, Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering and National Association of Professional Inspectors and Testers. Most of the professional plumbers in the UK are members of one or more of these associations.

The Association of Plumbing and Heating Contractors England and Wales (APHC) and Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering (CIPHE) members are required to follow the customer charters of the respective associations. The National Association of Professional Inspectors and Testers (NAPIT) is an organization approved by the government. All these three associations maintain a database of their member tradesmen and their organizations, if any. If anyone wants to enquire they can call up these associations or visit their respective websites to find out about their members. These associations also handle customer complaints, if any.

The point to note here is that if you want to find a plumber and want to find a professional plumber then you can always bank on these three associations. However, this stage will come later on. Your first job will be to find some well known plumbing contractors in your area. Once you have shortlisted some plumbing contractors you can then find out about them from these associations. Imagine how easy it becomes for you to finalize a plumbing contractor for your job requirement.

Today the customer is well protected against any plumbing job that is not well done. Plumbing requires intensive labour and this means you need to shell out good money on hiring a professional plumber. You will naturally assume that you will get your money’s worth once the job is completed. But if, by any chance, you are not satisfied by the job done or feel that you have been short changed then these associations are always there to help you out. Yes, you need to keep “caveat emptor” in mind. Before you find a plumber and hire them you need to ensure that they are registered and licensed. Otherwise getting damages will be difficult.

The internet is a wonderful thing to have when you want to find a plumber. There are websites that help you locate a plumber with ease. Just indicate that you need a plumbing job done and enter your postcode and there will be a queue of plumbing contractors vying for the job. Select well so that the best job is done within your budget. And if there is anything you are not happy about the Association of Plumbing and Heating Contractors England and Wales, the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering and the National Association of Professional Inspectors and Testers are always there.

Before you find a plumber you should find out about their professional profiles. If required contact plumber associations to find out more.
