When planning a vacation, nobody wants to sit around in their hotel.  If you are going someplace like Florence, you can easily explore the towns of Tuscany.  There is so much culture to experience and so many wonderful things to see.  It is a wise choice to do some research long before your trip to plan out what you would like to see.

The list of what to do in Tuscany is endless.  From shopping to exploring the remarkable architecture, you will never want for something else to do.  There are gorgeous cathedrals, lush botanical gardens, and art to be seen nearly everywhere you go.  Most of the piazzas can take a half a day or more to fully explore.

A favorite activity among tourists is taking a Tuscany wine tour.  There are plenty of vineyards and wineries to choose from.  You can take leisurely strolls through the vineyards where the grapes and olives grow. You can also attend an afternoon of wine tasting and learn the process of making wine from start to finish.

Taking a Tuscany wine tour can be done a couple of ways.  You can find out the touring schedules on your own and go when it is convenient to you.  Or you can sign up for a guided tour with a group.  They can be found at reasonable prices and will usually give you much more detail than taking a tour on your own.

Talking to locals is another wonderful way to find hidden gems.  Then can give you great suggestions on what to do in Tuscany.  Locals know about the area less populated with tourists and usually have the best suggestions for local cuisine.  If someone in the area gives you a suggestion on a restaurant, take it.

There are so many little towns of Tuscany to visit and explore.  There are many medieval streets and buildings, including towers and cathedrals.  Some are packed with tourists and others are off the beaten path and offer a quiet appreciation of history.  Some of the wonderful towns to visit are Volterra, Pienza, Lucca, Siena, and Pitigliano.

Getting around in the towns of Tuscany can be part of the fun.  Many of the places are within walking distance.  But for the ones that aren’t, you can rent a Vespa to cruise around the town.  It will help to have something to rest on instead of walking everywhere every day.  You may be able to take in more sites if you have a ride.

What to do in Tuscany can be an easy thing to decide with the right resources.  You can plan the towns to visit, take in some of the local landscaped marvels, and visit museums to see countless pieces of art.  It’s impossible to go to Tuscany and not take in the culture.  It’s such and amazing place to visit.
