Wear Versatile G-Strings as Swimwear or Lingerie

Whenever someone does something out of ordinary, there is a sharp reaction from people around and very soon there is a controversy brewing. There are a few areas that are more susceptible than others in drawing comments and one of them is swimwear. While a regular swimwear will not entice as much as a second look from anyone, g-strings or a pair of thongs is a sure-shot call for reaction. Often this reaction is in extremes, meaning either the onlookers are appreciative of it or overly critical. In spite of the controversy, both types have been around for years with no indication of fading away into oblivion.

Something that most people are shocked at is the origin of g-strings. The present-day versions have supposedly evolved from a garment that was worn predominantly by men in Africa during the Stone Age. Like its contemporary version, it comprised of a string and a patch of cloth attached to it in front in order to protect the vital organs from harsh surroundings and weather elements. Mankind has come a long way since then and while there have been many styles along the way, thongs are still in vogue because of the many advantages that they offer.

A common misconception that most people carry with them is the g-strings and thongs are same when in reality the two styles do have minor differences. The most visual point of differentiation between the two is that the former is the scantiest form of clothing while the latter is characterized by a thicker band around the waist and a crotch. Beyond that, both styles are more revealing than regular swimwear and lingerie and hence are hailed as being bold and s exy. Both thong and g-string come in varieties like T-back and V-back depending on the way the bands are joined at the rear.

In what way are g-strings better than regular p anties? To begin with they are so skimpy that the wearer often experiences the feeling of having put on nothing at all. While this adds to the comfort level of the wearer it also reduces the chances of visible panty line showing through the clothes. Thus, women who like to experiment with tight fitting jeans, skirts or leggings must opt for this type of lingerie if they wish to convey the desired look without the dreaded line of panty showing prominently. Diminutive that they are, thongs enjoy a preference owing to their sheer invisibility.

There have been instances when women who have replaced their regular p anties with g-strings and thongs ended up getting chaffed and blistered thus regretting their decision. However, the fault in such situation is not of the garment but of the wearer in the sense that she selected the wrong size. Given the least amount of fabric that these lingerie items comprise of, one of the most imperative factors governing their selection is that of size and fit. Unless it is of perfect size and fit, the wearer is bound to feel ill at ease not to mention embarrassed and at times chafed too.

Many women may initially be hesitant to try out g-strings for the first time and even be skeptical about their comfort level but a trend that has become apparent over the years is that once they discover this type they fall in love with it. In addition to factors like comfort and modesty, another reason that is equally enticing is the availability of a number of frontal designs. An open front, a mini triangle or a front shaped like a butterfly’s wings are some of the choices in which thongs could be chosen particularly if there is a special rendezvous coming up.

One of the oldest as also the most exotic forms of lingerie are g strings and for a women who has never tried on one, it is time to include these in the collection on a priority. Something on similar lines but not exactly a replica are thongs which are also readily available as lingerie and swimwear at numerous online and offline shops.
