PDF (Portable Document Format) is a useful computer software for preparing documents that was introduced in 1993 by Adobe Systems in support of the idea of a ‘paperless office’ across the globe. One of the best things about this format is that the user can incorporate massive data in this file and of course, the security features which help protect the contents of your document. A Word document is an editable file format which lets you personalize and organize the information however you want. If you happen to need to convert PDF to Word you may be surprised to find out that going from PDF to Word is not such a simple feat.

If you happen to require some data from a non-editable PDF file format or maybe update some information in the PDF files, you may end up needing to convert your files from PDF to Word. But you are in for a big surprise! When you will open the PDF file in Acrobat Reader, you will soon find out that there is no such thing as a convert PDF to Word button, although you could have sworn there is one. Making a Word document out of a PDF is particularly hard because, at their core, Word files a lot more complex than the PDF ones. Once you transform a file into a PDF, it becomes an optimized photo with a layer on top that can read the text (if you exported it as a text-searchable file).

Although PDF to Word can prove to be a challenge, it is no reason to despair because there are convertors in this world. For example there is a software program simply called Convert PDF to Word that can help you make the conversion you need, without even needing to be online. You just download it the first time and then you can convert anytime you need. Of course, if you do not want to install a program on your computer, or you have to convert on your company’s laptop, there are plenty of websites on the internet that can help you convert the files you need.

When you are looking for software or websites to make from PDF to Word, be sure to check that the software is not based on OCR (Optical Character Recognition). These are not necessarily bad programs but, at their best, they can extract the text with up to 75% accuracy and when it comes to scanned PDF documents, the rates go even lower. There are certain elements that will lose their actuality during the conversion process. The spacing will be improper, some object may somehow become separated and broken when there is no need for that and of course, this will not include the formatting of the Word document as well as the color of the fonts.

It is not an easy process to convert PDF to Word, but you can rest assured that somewhere out there in the vast Internet there are software programs that can easily make the change from PDF to Word and with a 100% accuracy too.
