Paarl- Beautiful Wine Country

Paarl was named by the Dutch settlers in the 1600s and actually means Pearl, yet the original inhabitants of the land were the Peninsular Khoikoiand the Cochoqua. They called Paarl Rock “Tortoise Mountain” which is what they associated it with.
