Free Thing to do in ParisPosted by twpngroup on July 30th, 2013 Paris, France is a place that many people want to go on vacation but they may avoid it because they don’t think they can afford both the travel to Paris as well as activities once they are in Paris. While Paris does have its expenses, site seeing in Paris does not have to break the bank. Here are the top free things to do while you are on vacation in Paris. Notre Dame Cathedral If you go to Paris, you should definitely make plans to stop at this cathedral. It has lots of gothic architectural features and gargoyles. This cathedral has lots of visitors and there is a queue to get in but it’s well worth the wait. Père Lachaise Cemetery The Père Lachaise Cemetery in Paris is a great spot to visit the final resting place of some famous people. Jim Morrison lies here with gifts of alcohol and flower garlands left by his fans. Literary giants Balzac and Proust are also laid to rest here, among others. Basilique du Sacré Coeur The basilica is another free place to visit when you are in Paris. It is an enormous church made from white marble and is a feature of the Montmartre district. Look at the beautiful gold mosaics and massive stained glass windows. You will also get to experience the toll of one of the heaviest bells in the world. While it is free to visit the basilica, there is a fee to go into the dome or the crypt. There are many more free things to do in Paris that I won’t go into a lot of detail about including museums, parks, and the market. The more money you can save site seeing is more money you can spend on your food and drink. While you’re in Paris, you must enjoy some wine and cheese! If you are going to be in Paris for just a week or two, a hotel is your best option. However, consider the best rental options for your budget if you are going to be in Paris for several weeks. Paris has some nice houses. If you are going to spend a significant amount of time in Paris, you might want to consider renting one. You can rent a house in Paris for much less expense than you can rent a hotel if you are planning on staying for a month or more. About the Author: This article is written by Sara Reddy.
