Guild Wars 2 receives Queen?s Jubilee update

The royal festivities are just a hot air balloon ride away.
ArenaNet has announced the third fortnightly addition to Guild Wars 2′s Living World. The Queen’s Jubilee will allow players to recognise Queen Jennah’s 10 years on the throne with celebrations, combat and collectibles.
By boarding a hot air balloon players will be whisked away to Divinity’s Reach to enter the Crown Pavilion, witness the opening cermenony and compete in the Queen’s Gauntlet against enemies for loot. One of the additions is Watchwork tecnology, a recent innovation that can be used to craft new tonics, weapons or used as currency. Speaking of which, all currency is now stored in a single wallet and accessible from any character tied to that same account. Players can also earn a meta-achievement which grants them a miniature Watchknight model.
Some other general updates include the new PvP Solo Arena that will allow players to compete for a place on the leaderboards without affecting their team rankings, bonus rewards for completing unique paths in dungeons as well as a daily mini-game rotation that will include Sanctum Sprint, Keg Brawl, Southsun Survival and Crab Toss.
ArenaNet are certainly keeping good on their promise of fortnightly updates and not skimping on the quantity of content. Hopefully they can keep up the pace and offer new experiences for longtime players.
The Queen’s Jubilee update will hit Guild Wars 2 later on today.
