Cleaning an epoxy

To keep your epoxy garage floor brand new, you need to invest in some high-quality cleaning services. At the same time, you have to be willing to spend a few hours identifying a suitable garage floor cleaning company. . This cleaning process requires several steps and professionals usually begin with the sweeping phase.

You simply cannot start a procedure like epoxy garage floor cleaning or concrete resurfacing without removing all the debris first. Usually, garage floors are not plain; they have a certain angle, allowing the vehicle to enter and exit the garage easier; thanks to this angle, you can wet the surface with water from a hose and let it drain outside the garage.

If the garage is plain, probably the best way to get rid of the dust and dirt accumulated there is to use the good old broom. If you use the previous method and you wet the surface, you may have to wait a lot until the floor dries. To rush the drying process, remove the excess water by using an absorbent mop.

During the drying period, because you will have to wait if you use water to eliminate the debris from the surface of your garage, prepare the cleaning solution. In many cases, you need to mix it with water, according to the instructions provided by the manufacturer of the cleaning solution.

Use a bucket to combine the solution with water and then immerse a mop into the liquid. It is recommended to purchase mops made from any other material than cotton, because cotton tends to get too soaked in liquid, and you will spread too much solution onto the surface of the garage. And once again, you will have to wait several hours for the surface to get dry.

After mixing the cleaner with water, start cleaning the garage floor with it. Do not let the mix dry; rinse the surface and then remove the excess liquid, otherwise stains will form. If the concrete resurfacing that you plan for your epoxy floor involves using a water or insect repellent, make sure to let the chemical substances work their magic and rinse the garage floor only when the repellent gets dry.

Cleaning a garage floor should be done on a regular basis, and especially when the vehicle returns from a dirty area, such as from a trip to the mountains, or from a very long holiday. After cleaning the floor, always make sure to wipe it, in order to prevent mildew formation.
