The status of London rental apartments

London is the most populous city in the United Kingdom with an out bursting population of about 8 million people and, as expected, this has its pros and cons. The overwhelming population offers good business and the availability of cheap labour but poses a greater problem on the accommodation part. In addition to this, more and more people visit the city every single year with an aim of viewing the city’s heritage and the nightlife. This similarly poses the need for accommodation which begs the question: how is the situation maintained? Mr. Johnson, the mayor, is making significant steps by instigating several projects, which aim to provide both residential houses and vacation rentals in London.

The hotel apartments in London have had to do more in providing the necessary accommodation for the visiting customers. This, though, is not the case as per the current status. More apartments have been put in place for the sole reason of offering temporary accommodation. The short stay London apartments are widespread in central London because the area gives convenience to the visitors who want to enjoy the facilities that the town offers. The upcoming demolition of the Earls Court will see an increment in the number of units since the visitation numbers are increasing daily; if the international arrivals are anything to go by. The project was dished out to developers who are supposed to see it through and provide other necessary services like infrastructure, health and educational facilities to the surrounding community.

The various universities that are in London require rental apartments for freshmen and continuing students when the semester begins. The apartments are not made like the mainstream ones since they are basically bedsitters to accommodate a larger number of students. This task is left to real estate agents and developers by the university administration. The serviced apartments in London are on offer too for students only that there are complaints about the price range. The students also need apartments that provide storage facilities for their property before and after the beginning of a semester.

The price range of the rental is a big determinant in their acquisition. Most of the rentals are taken weekly, and they seem very attractive until they are taken on a monthly basis. The price too changes widely depending on the location. High end locations attract more rent than the ones considered the low end. The infrastructure surrounding a specific rental apartment can sway the rent it accrues.
