Fifty Shades Movie Stars are ready to celebrate New Year 2014

The year end is the time to let go of all the disappointments of the past year and usher in the New Year with the promise of something more fruitful. The same can be said about the stars of the movie adaptation of Erica James’s novel ‘Fifty Shades of Grey Movie’. The shooting of this venture directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson has been tossed around for quite some time and has finally taken off in Vancouver. The film which is eyeing a February 2015 release will be a treat for the fans of the book trilogy and has already created quite a flutter in the hearts of the readers and its dedicated fans when it was announced that the film would have an NC-17 rating because of the erotic content.

The film, which stars Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan as the primary protagonists, will definitely have a good year ahead as they would be shooting for the entire year next year for the film and get it ready for its release in February 2015. Dakota Johnson who has only appeared in bits and pieces in films like ‘The Five-Year Engagement’ and ‘The Social Network’ will have her first release as a leading lady with the ’50 Shades of Grey Movie’. On the other hand, the lead actor of this venture, Jamie Dornan, will spend the New Year with a new member in his family. His wife, Amelia Warner, recently gave birth to a baby girl and the trio will spend the New Year amidst much frolic we are guessing.

The shooting of the film has started in Vancouver and the casting team continues to surprise us with recent additions like Rita Ora and Marcia Gay Harden. Before this however, the casting team has already surprised the fans and followers of the novel with startling exits like Charlie Hunnam who was earlier chosen as the sadomasochistic self made billionaire businessman and owner of Grey Enterprises, Christian Grey. But the ‘Sons of Anarchy’ star had to make an unceremonious exit citing his commitment to his television programme and Irish actor Jamie Dornan replaced him amidst much speculation. This NC- 17 rated film continued to be in the news when the pictures from the first day of the shoot emerged and the lead pair created quite a ripple among fans.

The author, Erica James, was also not very hopeful that the film would ever see the light of day and considering the cast changes which pushed back the shooting schedule. But the fact that this novel has made her the best selling and the highest earning author of 2013, she will surely have a New Year to remember. The novel which has inspired a film adaptation, will pull its target audience to the theatres come February 2015 but before that the fans will have to be satisfied with the pictures and the videos which are made available to them via the internet.

It is time to ring in the New Year with the hope that 2014 will give us more of the ‘Fifty shades...’ frenzy and we will be busy watching every move made by the stars and the people associated with this venture.
