Luke Grimes Leaves True Blood for Elliot Grey Role in 50 Shades Movie?

The cast of the film “Fifty Shades of Grey Movie’ has been in the news ever since it was announced and with major cast changes, entries and exits, the fans have been guessing whether there would be a film or not. Such was the situation when the then Mr. Christian Grey, played by Charlie Hunnam, walked out unceremoniously and the casting team was rushing from pillar to post looking for the next Christian Grey. Finally, it was Jamie Dornan who slipped into Christian Grey’s suits and became the object of most female fans’ lust or love. The Grey brothers are played by Jamie Dornan and Luke Grimes as Christian and Elliot respectively.

While Jamie Dornan plays the more seductive and secretive of the two brothers and also the titular character, the other Grey, played by Luke Grimes is also a face, which is famous on the television screens as the star of the series “True Blood”. His screen brother, Christian, is famous as an underwear model and has appeared on television series such as “The Fall” and “Once Upon a Time”. Seems like smouldering looks run in the Grey family. The 29 year old Luke Grimes plays the role of Grey’s older brother. Luke Grimes, who is equally hot and a body to die for, will be seen opposite Kate Kavanagh who is incidentally Anastasia Steele’s roommate in college.

Now that Luke has been signed to be part of this venture, the grapevine is abuzz with the news that his role in “True Blood” will be recast. Is the reason of this recast his hectic schedule on “The Movie Fifty Shades”? Season 6 of the popular vampire drama “True Blood” saw Luke Grimes join the cast as James. And he was set to return in the seventh series as well, till “Fifty Shades” happened. He was cast as the new lover of Deborah Ann Woll, who plays the role Jessica.

In the series, she meets Luke aka James in Governor Burrell’s camp. It has now been announced that the actor will move on to “The Fifty Shades Of Grey” and has dropped out of the drama series. With actors such as Rita Ora and Dakota Johnson already upping the beauty quotient in the movie, you can trust Luke Grimes and Jamie Dornan to take the hot quotient further up. The star of movies such as “Taken 2” and “All the Boys Love Mandy lane”, Luke Grimes, has also appeared in the television series “Brothers & Sisters”. With many major and minor characters already being cast in the movie, and that includes an Oscar winner as well, Marcia Gay Harden, it is no surprise that Luke Grimes will fill into the shoes of the character very well.
