Ladies Dressing Tips; How To Look Stylish This Winter

Posted by countrycollection on January 14th, 2014

For many women who live within the UK, style and fashion are usually thrown out the window once the winter season sets in. Finding the right ladies clothes for winter is already stressful enough without having to also keep up with the season’s current fashion trends as well, and this is the main reason why most women don’t even bother with that. In particular, most women resort to wearing clothes of bland and uninteresting colours. These might be okay for wearing inside the house where you are not particularly bothered about looking stylish, but since you cannot possibly stay indoors throughout the winter season, maybe it’s time you looked for something that you proudly wear outdoors this season. Below are a few tips to help you along.

The first thing you must pay attention to is the colour of your clothes. If you want style but don’t want to be too showy about it then black would be ideal for you. It is hard, almost impossible actually, to go wrong with black unless your fashion sense is practically nonexistent. However, this does not mean you should wear everything black unless, of course, you are on your way to attend a funeral. Ladies gloves, ladies shoes and ladies coats in black colour can go well with the clothes of practically any colour unless the clothes are patterned. It is best to go for these. Back to the shoes, if you are buying ladies slippers then you might want to think twice before you buy black slippers.

Another colour that is great for winter dressing, especially this month is red. Christmas is here with us and what better way to reflect your festive mood and spread some Christmas cheer than by dressing in red. Generally the two colours that are closely associated with Christmas are red and white. Red ladies skirts and red ladies coats not only reflect the Christmas spirit but also look sophisticated and stylish; especially the coat. It is worth mentioning at this point that even though red and white are the two main colours associated with the Christmas holidays, it is not very wise to wear both of these colours together at the same. There are many reasons for this, but suffice it to simply say that is a Santa’s outfit you are planning on wearing.

Since black is a colour for all seasons and white is beautiful all the time, why not combine the two colours this season? Picture black ladies skirts matched with white cotton blouses and then topped up with long, black ladies coats. Stylish, right? Now picture a white skirt matched with a black top and then everything copped off with a white coat and black ladies gloves; sophisticated.
