Accomack native charged in alleged Oct. sex assault, strangulation at Cherryston

An Accomack County native residing in Harrisonburg have been arrested for the sexual abuse of the woman last October in a Cherrystone Campground bath house.

The sheriff said a guy wearing a tan Halloween mask with “large, saggy eyes” sexually assaulted a 25-year-old woman inside a bath house located nearby the trading post at Cherrystone.
The incident was reported at 6:33 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 27, of a year ago. It happened at the conclusion of per month of Halloween-themed weekends.
In November, the sheriff’s office released a composite drawing of any “person of interest” in case, referred to as a white male in his late teens to early 20s, approximately 5-foot-8-inches or 5-foot-9-inches in height, using a slender build, facial acne and “dirty blond” or medium blond hair.
At the time of the incident, the suspect was last seen wearing a protracted-sleeved tan shirt, light tan cargo-style pants and skateboard-type shoes, or “vans slip ons,” Doughty said.
Parks’ Facebook page listed him as being a 2011 graduate of Nandua High school graduation.
In July 2012, Parks was in prison for a misdemeanor after a Sept. 28, 2011, crash that killed an Onancock man riding a scooter on Bayside Road in Lee Mont.
Parks had originally been faced with felony hit-and-run, but the charge was amended after Parks told police he thought he struck a deer together with his vehicle over a dark, rainy night, as outlined by a news story.
The crash happened as they was returning where you can Parksley from Eastern Shore College, where he was enrolled.
