A recent poll of online shoppers revealed that 32% of shoppers never shop online. This means that 100 people visit a boutique clothing online store only 68 out of them will consider spending money buying clothes from the store. The actual number of buyers is bound to be lesser. But why so much apathy when we all know that shopping from an online dress boutique comes with so many benefits? Some of the reasons are true and some are hearsays.

There are simply too many boutique clothing online stores and the customers are spoilt for choices. Customers know that there is a price benefit of shopping from an online dress boutique. But then, study after study has revealed that the price benefit is not the most important benefit for the modern shopper. There are some very valid reasons why someone would still prefer shopping from a brick and mortar store.

Concern about the right fit is the biggest concern among customers that stutter when it comes to shopping from boutique clothing online stores. Any customer would think before buying, "What if the clothes I order don't fit me?" This is a valid concern and some online clothing stores have managed to address this concern to an extent.

GUESS, for example, has a program called TrueFit where customers need to answer certain questions about their age, sex, size etc. and the software application can tell them what size clothes they should buy and how they will look if they buy a certain garment. There are also some applications that analyze images sent through webcams to identify body shapes and the right garments for each shape. Some of these programs are known to measure more accurately than tailors can. Bottom line is that if you as a customer are aware of your body measurements then you largely shouldn't have issues buying clothes from an online dress boutique.

The other concern that customers have about buying boutique clothing online is that the actual clothes may look different from the ones shown on the website. It is true that there are some serial offenders in this matter. The only way to address this issue is to go through online reviews. You should read the good ones and you should read the bad ones. Most importantly, you should those reviews that matter to you.

Perhaps one of the biggest causes of friction between an online dress boutique and its customers is about exchange and refund. As a customer you are always worried about what is going to happen should you decide to return an item of clothing that you purchased online. However, this concern can be allayed if you go through the terms and conditions before making a purchase.

Actually there are some excellent boutique clothing online stores that give you an awesome shopping experience. If you don't try out one such online dress boutique then it's sadly your loss. Just do what you do when shopping otherwise and you should have a pleasant online shopping experience.

Your boutique clothing online store can be designed to give what your customers want. If your customers are happy with your online dress boutique it can go places.
