WHAT IS ZULATNITEŽ?Posted by Provenance Gems on November 9th, 2020 Zultanite® is still new to market and many jewelry professionals are still yet to see their first Zultanite®. However we live in the information age and Zultanite®'s reputation is growing much faster than it would have a generation ago. Although Zultanite® is indeed rare there are many factors that make Zultanite® interesting to every gemstone collector. Zultanite® is treatment free, this fact separates Zultanite from 90% of all gemstones available anywhere. Sapphires, Rubies, Emeralds and Tanzanites have all had some degree of treatment or color enhancement whether this be simple heat treatment or even artificial dyes or oils. Zultanite® is Eye-Clean. A valuable gemstone should not have inclusions detract from the gem's beauty, for example, anyone that has purchased a diamond has discussed the diamond's clarity. Unpolished and rough Zultanite is heavily included but the standard for faceted Zultanite® is Eye-Clean and no inclusions should be visible at 20/20 vision.
