The weightage is given on the basis of 60/40 ratio. For admission to the IITs, NFTs and CFTs, students need to score a minimum of 75% marks in class 12th. If they are 1 amongst the top 20 scorers in the particular board, even then they can qualify.
JEE is conducted 2 times in a year but in 2 different parts. JEE Mains happens in January and April whereas JEE Advanced happens in May. Earlier, an aspiring candidate was not allowed to attempt the JEE Mains paper more than 3 times . From 2019, they can attempt 6 times.
