It’s 11:00am on a weekday. And you’ve likely played out one of two scenarios:
In the first scenario, you got up this morning with just enough time to get yourself together and grab an easy (and unhealthy) bite to eat. You managed to suck down a lot of coffee and of course stopped for meaningless chit chat with a colleague. And now you’re just ticking off tasks to do, with no real sense of direction. You feel sluggish, bored, or overwhelmed.
In the second, you woke up early. First, you got in a good workout, meditation, and journaled your way to a purposeful day. Then, instead of picking up that donut, you made yourself a quick smoothie; because hey, you’re on a roll. And in place of marking off random tasks to be done, you’re knocking out the hard stuff first. So, when lunch rolls around, you’ve become more centered and accomplished more important stuff than most people do in a week.
