How to Take Care of Your Brand New Piercing?

Nose piercing is a process in which the artists pierces the cartilage area of the nostril region. It might sound terrifying, but once you have it, you’re making your own fashion statement.

A nose piercing requires a lot more attention and care than any kind of ear piercing. Acknowledge the fact that you have to begin to take care of it the day you get your nose pierced. It takes about two to three months to heal, but during this time, it is necessary that you prevent yourself from continuously touching or playing with the jewelry pierced onto your nose. If you plan to get children’s ear piercing in the Gold Coast or any other location, you need to be extra careful.

Also, continue to wash your hands on a regular basis because if you touch the piercing, it might lead to bacterial infections.  It is important to keep the surroundings of the piercing clean. Thus, cold cream or the best is to use a saline solution dipped in a cotton ball and gently pat it all over the nostril region.

This solution can be prepared with a quarter teaspoon of sea salt to one cup of warm water. Make sure that you do not irritate the piercing, especially if you have oily or acne-prone skin; gently wipe it with a towel.

The piercing is typically a wound, and due to its location, it takes a lot more time to heal. Thus, it is best to moisturize it with a combination of tea tree oil and coconut oil. Use fresh cotton balls to apply the solution. You can also do this two times a day but do not forget to continue this practice even after the piercing is completely healed. Do not apply harsh antiseptics, especially when you feel any signs of infection rising. Continue applying the solution.

Also, due to the mucus membranes, the first week might result in a slight swelling. Do not worry; carry on with using the solution, and it will heal naturally. However, if there is a bump or a swelling seen in the later days, ensure acknowledging and treating the infection immediately.

Continue the application of the solution before it intensifies. The bump around the area might rise due to ineffective aftercare products or the wrong or infected piercing instruments, infected nose jewelry, jostling with it, or allergic reactions to jewelry. In case pain increases, then it is best to visit a doctor for a faster healing process.

Getting a nose piercing from a tattoo parlour in the Gold Coast or any other location is not just a day’s activity, but it needs a lot of time and care for the process of healing. Your efforts will result in an effective and faster healing process.
