CNN, also known as the Cable News Network, was introduced to the network market on the 1st of September in the year 1980; at 5 pm prompt Eastern Time.

Since it was launched, CNN has spread its shore over so many cables as well as satellite televisions providers, a lot of websites, and also specialized closed-circuit channels like the CNN Airport.
