MSME VS Udyog Aadhaar VS Udyam Registration

We're addressing the difference between the MSME,Udyam Registration and Udyog Aadhar. There are many applicants who are still unaware of the udyam registration and confused when applying for the registration of MSME or Udyog or Udyam.

So in this short guide, we will give you all the details regarding new udyam registration and how it differs from udyog aadhaar/MSME Registration.

Difference between MSME,Udyam Registration and Udyog Aadhar

• Both Udyam Registration and Udyog Aadhar are the same from 1 July 2020 since Udyog Aadhar Registration is converted into the registration process for udyam from July. 
• Udyog Aadhar is only required by the applicant's aadhar card and provides immediate self certification as per the old MSME definition, but Udyam Registration requires both the applicant's GST and Pan Card and provides checked certification as per the new MSME definition.
• Udyog Aadhar is not integrated with other government portals such as the Gem and Treds Portal, etc., but during the Udyam Registration it is fully integrated and registered.
• Udyog Aadhar has a short form compared to Udyam Registration, but there is a long form on the Udyam Portal and theIncome Tax & GST details are required for the same. 
• Without Aadhar Mobile Connection Facility, Udyog Aadhar can apply, but only the Aadhar card associated with any mobile number is required for Udyam Registration.
• Udyog Aadhar can be registered with different company names multiple times, but only 1 Aadhar Card Individual Applicant can be registered with Udyam Registration.

Note : Both MSME,Udyog Aadhaar and udyam registration are same. Registration process under msme before known as udyog Aadhaar Registration but now it is known as udyam registration.
