It is easy to verify the origins of the Christmas (winter) and Easter Angelum Lucis Review (spring) solstice festivals from way before Jesus. But many Christians today are under the impression these holidays are now holy and sacred. We do it now for Jesus! And we don't want to disappoint the children... If the pagans had never used trees, you would not have thought to chop down a tree on Dec. 25th.

Why would the traditional meal of a Jewish Messiahs' birthday be "ham"? Pork was not kosher and is on the unclean list of banned foods. Does traditional boars head soup have anything to do with the old Nimrod mythology as well?When I was a kid, the understood "bad side" of Christmas was the materialism. As long as we kept our focus off the money and the stuff, then we were free to enjoy all the money and the stuff.

Then I began to wonder; if this is Messiahs' birthday, why do we give presents to "each other"? What does the Lord get out of that?Then I wondered; if this is Messiahs' birthday, why does Santa Claus get more adoration, presentation and focus than the LordThen I wondered; if Christmas and Easter are Christian holidays, why do so many non-believers celebrate Christmas and Easter?Then I wondered; if this is a special occasion for the Lord, why do we cut down a couple billion of His beautiful trees worldwide just to throw them in the trash weeks later? What does He get out of that.
