Fluoropolymers are specialty polymers that have excellent durability and thermal

Fluoropolymers (polymers) are unique synthetic polymers, which are frequently used in almost every industry. They are extremely critical components of modern lives, both in visible and invisible ways. These polymers include adhesives, plastics, resins, rubber, and more. There are thousands of uses for these materials, and many more still waiting to be discovered. Here are a few of the most popular uses for these unique materials.

As previously mentioned, the plastic industry uses Fluoropolymer. For example, polypropylene (PP), is the most commonly used polymer, for everything from plastic furniture to car seat covers. PP has excellent tensile strength, but its high elasticity makes it ideal for use in a wide range of applications, from lightweight construction materials, like paper and cardboard, to heavy-duty industrial products. Fluoropolymers are also great for preventing damage to the lining of drinking water pipes.

Rubber is another useful polymeric, particularly as a thick, durable adhesive. The rubber-based adhesives used for making tires and belts are also made with Fluoropolymer. In fact, they have become so widely used in the rubber industry, that some countries have begun using only this material for their tires and belts. Rubber is also used widely throughout a variety of medical fields, including dentistry and orthodontics, plastic surgery, and even dental implants. Many dentists use rubber-based dental implants for supporting the teeth.
