Somehow he felt that using photography would enhance the objectivity in the figure. This led him to apply cutout photographic images directly to polished steel. But later he discarded it for he felt that the photo appeared as an inserted object that was in high contrast to the immateriality of the reflected image. Not just that, even the normal mirror was discarded as it brought in problems for the thickness of the glass. This was the early point of paintings made on mirror. In the present age, it has transformed drastically and made a huge aesthetic appeal for art patrons.
