The Civil Rights Movement might have changed people\'s perception of individual identity, peculiarity and preferences. People are now more accommodating of personal choices & space. Though it was not easy and it also created some level of discord as well in the society. The price of civil liberty should not have been social harmony but it eventually came to be so. Is it because of bad policies or leadership, it’s hard to tell. However it has created an atmosphere where it is increasingly difficult to walk the path of fashion reform to reflect the underlying changing needs of society.

Some big brands are doubling down their effort to bring more body positive clothing. Still the ground situation still remains dissatisfying when it comes availability of proper clothing choices for plus size women. The customers in this section experience it difficult to find clothing that fits even on amazon and look beautiful. Studies have shown an estimated 68% of American women wear plus size clothing while only 5% of the top brands seems to cater that need. 

Its possible that top brands active in women jeans pants section like levis or citizen may have abandoned the idea of creating tailor made women plus size dress denim  however the market forces are working the way they always do. As a result the newer vendors like zara, etsy are now working towards providing choices for such women.

While we talk about plus size women and how fashion industry denied them the choice of clothing that fit them, we tend to forgt that there is one more category that doesnt even get the mention. if you still can’t figure it out, its the mothers. The fundamental problem with patriarchal thinking block is that they tend to see women and girls as sex object. this psychological conditioning of thinking process has muted their senses towards seeing women as an individual. this in turn has dual effect on women of plus size category and mothers. While plus size girls are deemed unattractive by patriarchal society , their need to look beautiful is neglected. while women who are already  become mother lost their sex value, they are also neglected but for a different reason. although the reasoning can be different the outcome is still the same. Women who attained the motherhood have very few choices in terms of fashion attaires. so far only a few fashion genre seem to have catering their needs, such as mom jeans plus size high waist which seems to have designed to be suitable for plus size girls and moms. although it is also called the boyfriend jeans, but lets just stick to identifier \"mom\" as this word is more \"feminist friendly\".

We must put up a fight for more plus size friendly clothing from industry and one type of clothing that must undergo a real transformation is swimwear section. plus size women have virtually no avenue to buy those bikinis. almost all those swimwear are made and sold for zero figure girls which is very hurtful to rest of the two third women. if a women does not have a chance to wear those liberating  swimsuits tankini, burkini , bikini, two piece, one piece ...how are they supposed to enjoy their hard earned summer vacation on a sandy beach. i took a tour of top brands online to find these womanly clothing to asses what is being offered for us and i was disappointed. There are not enough bikinis for plus size girls to start with but those who are selling these have slim girls posing for the dress. where are the plus size models ? . it literally took me one hour to find a page that was selling bikini  and the models in it were also plus size women. phew !. well the day was saved but it left a lasting impression on me, that women on plus side are are just last in the line. like the way they say \"nice guys finish last\" , similar is true for plus girls.

Still the hope is not completely lost and we must strive for a better future.
