Posted by madhu xp on December 8th, 2020

Saskatchewan is one of the popular provinces in Canada which actively participates in the Provincial Nominee Program to select the right personnel into the province, either as skilled professionals or Business Immigrants. The aspirant businessmen who intend to relocate to Saskatchewan should actively participate in the running of the business and should reside in Saskatchewan.

To qualify for this program the applicant should –

  1. Submit an Express of Interest to the Saskatchewan Immigration Nominee Program. The expression of interest should be supported by the required documents. Based on these documents, the applicant’s profile will be graded to meet the minimum entry criteria. Once the profile is shortlisted, it will become part of the pool of candidates shortlisted for further processing
  2. Monetary criteria -
Minimum Net-worth of the main applicant should be CAD 0,000
Required investment in Regina or Saskatoon is CAD 0,000
Required investment in other areas in Saskatchewan is CAD 0,000
  3. The applicant should have a minimum of 3 years of business experience.
  4. The intended business should generate a minimum of 1 job opportunity for the locals
  5. The investor should provide a proper Business Establishment Plan.
  6. The investor should own a minimum of 33.33% of business
  7. The investor should provide reasoning that they would participate in the everyday running of the business.
  8. The applicant should provide the required documents that would support all of their claims along with the business plan.
  9. They need to take up the language test to qualify similar to Skilled Migration program.

Once the application is assessed and a third party verification report is received, the SINP immigration authorities will conduct a thorough background search and provide their verdict on the application.

Once the applicant is considered qualified, they will receive an invitation to participate in the final interview.

After the clearance of interview, a Business Performance Agreement (BPA) will be sent to the applicant for review and signature.

Once the Saskatchewan government receives the signed and dated BPA, the applicant will receive SINP Entrepreneur Approval letter.  The applicant will then proceed to apply for Temporary Work permit with the IRCC. With the temporary work permit, the applicant should be able to relocate to the province and start setting up their business there. This TWP is issued for a period of 18 months.

Expression of Interest is not an application. It is only a document expressing the applicant’s entrepreneurial experience along with show casing their desire to submit application as required. Business Investment program is an important proposition. It should contribute to the economy of a country along with providing job opportunities to the locals there. However, the investor should invest in a business prospect which brings in the right returns to the investor. The business also should be scalable and viable in nature.

The most important factor that ensures one’s migration a success is the kind of partner one decides to work with to help them relocate to the province. It requires that the investor chooses to work with international investment immigration experts to help them choose the right investment pathway and connect them to the right business houses as part of networking in the province.

To relocate to Canada it important that the applicant identifies the right international immigration firm which is also registered with ICCRC, Canada. Canada has many immigration pathways which are defined to adhere to the needs of distinct group of people. It is necessary that the aspirant applicant zeros in on the right immigration program which will be solution the aspirant immigrant is looking for.
