Gin doesn’t have to be boring. Thanks to local distilleries in Vancouver, gins have become quite interesting. If you are looking for the best distillery in Vancouver to purchase gin, you will have a hard time just narrowing it down to one.

You might want to try these gins instead:

  1. Seaside Gin

Where to get it: Sheringham Distillery

This distillery in Vancouver is run by the MacISAACs. Jason MacIsaac used to be a renowned chef and Alayne MacISAAC was in marketing and sales before they put up this distillery in Vancouver. One of their most popular creations is the Seaside Gin, which boasts of earthy notes mixed with floral ones. You can distinctly taste the lavender and rose in it.

It has an interesting mix of spices as well. The coriander and cardamom in it work so well with the citrus. With these flavors, you get a drink that will refresh you.

The sea flavors come from the winged kelp that they used. It will remind you of a quiet day by the beach.

  1. Endeavour Gin

Where to get it: The Liberty Distillery

The Endeavour Gin comes in four flavors. The original flavor was a recipient of three awards – BC Distilled 2014’s Best Gin, Seattle Ginvitation 2014’s BC’s Best Gin, and the Canadian Artisan Spirit Competition 2018’s Silver awardee.

They used 10 different botanicals in this drink. They made sure that they chose ingredients that are high in essential oils. When you get a sip of this drink, you will immediately think of how fresh it is. It goes down smoothly, which makes this gin perfect even for sipping.

The juniper notes are still there but balanced by other flavors such as the citrusy notes from lemon and grapefruit. Towards the end of it, you will get a hint of peppery and licorice flavors that are not overpowering but are still perfect for this drink.

  1. Rosé Gin

Where to get it: Resurrection

The nine-botanical concoction of Resurrection created a floral gin that is also perfect for sipping. It features rose petals and angelica root plus the citrus notes of grapefruit and cubeb berry. Not to be outdone, this gin also has earthy and spicy notes from the coriander seed and ginger root.

It’s not overly floral. You will like this if you prefer your gin to have a strong spice flavor combination with an oak after taste. It’s an easy gin to drink because it has a sweet finish where the floral notes truly shine through.
