For this article, I'll talk a bit about Forum Profile Backlinks. You might know a little about backlinks, but what about profile backlinks specifically? Are they useful? What exactly are some of their pro's and con's? To start off this short article, let me briefly explain what forum profile backlinks are. Backlinks alone are links to your site that can be used to help your search engine ranking positions. Forum profile backlinks certainly are a specific type of backlink which are created on profiles that you create on various forums. Being that this is the specific type of backlink, it has it's own sets of pro's and con's. Let's consider the pro's with this kind of backlink. To start, it has been my experience that the majority of forum profiles allows dofollow backlinks. The dofollow attribute is important to some people when they create backlinks. There is a common belief that only dofollow backlinks will in actuality count towards your search engine ranking positions. I'm not sure I completely believe this, but maybe it really is true. With that said, if you were to think that only dofollow backlinks count, then this is a big positive for using forum profile backlinks. Another positive with forum backlinks is that many forums will encourage them. You might notice on some forums that when you develop a profile, t here will actually be considered a box for the web URL. The website is actually encouraging you to leave your backlink there! That is definitely a big positive, and it can lead to links that stick around for several years. Now, what about the con's? Well, the main one major downside I can think of is that as you are creating new profiles, the links can look on new pages. Which means that Forum Profile Links must first find these profiles, before they can index your link. For some, this is a problem since it could take anywhere from a couple of hours to a few months merely to have your backlink counted. Other's think about this a positive though, because they don't want all of their backlinks being bought at once. Instead of having them all found in one day, they are able to have their backlinks found gradually over several weeks/months. So when it involves forum backlinks, the big disadvantage is actually an advantage based on who you ask. In all, I hope this helped you to understand profile backlinks a little more. Profile backlinks are just like any other tool. Once you learn how to use them and what keywords to focus on, it can lead to lots and lots of success. Good luck with your website!
