Cheap Scooters - A Fine Family Vehicle

Electric cars have been around for a long time. In the early 1900s, there were more electric cars than gasoline cars. This was because gasoline was very expensive. It was also difficult to start a gasoline engine; there was no key to turn and start the car like there is today. To get the car to start, you had to turn and turn a crank in front of the car before it would start.

There are many car companies, who are building Electric Vehicles. Most of them use AC motors for their vehicles. AC motors are light for their power output, they also have a strong charging kit which stops only for the breaking system. But AC motors have some disadvantages, too. It is difficult to install an AC motor and expensive comparing with a DC motor.

Are you thinking about your next commute and sitting in click here smelly traffic ..you can almost taste the pollution, cant you ...its going to be hard for you now, because you know it does not have to be like this anymore...Who has been through the airport tunnel lately??

If you still remain unconvinced, you may be interested to know that many people are converting their own cars to electric power. It can be surprisingly inexpensive to do, and before you dismiss it as beyond your capabilities, you don't need to be an expert mechanic, basic skills will do fine.

Using other electrical features like the Air Conditioning, Heating, Lights, Wind Shield Wipers and playing Music; engineers say this can consume approximately 50% of the battery power which will reduce the vehicles range.

The ,000 Chevy Volt is also on the streets. One was spotted by my co-worker Sandy Nax recently at a Kingsburg auto show. The Volt also features a gas engine for backup. Its all-electric range is 40 miles, not quite half the ,780 Leaf's 100-mile advertised distance.

To sum it up, some electric-powered R/C cars come ready to roll or "RTR" right out of the box and some need a few things before you can drive them such as batteries or a controller. Others come as a kit which means it is basically a rolling chassis, which requires the purchase of a motor, battery, body, etc., separately. Whatever the choice make sure you know if additional parts are required to get you going. So get ready to have some fun and get after it!
