Exploring Your Car's Fuel System

I am going to convince you find out more that your next car should be an electric one. I am not talking about hybrid cars, I mean pure electric! You may hold a deep seated prejudice against electric vehicles, and in the past they were at best a novelty. However new battery and motor technology have made them a viable replacement for your main everyday vehicle. Here are 5 reasons why your next car should be electric.

Why don't you take a few minutes to give a little bit of background on you. Then we'll cover the highlights of our first teleseminar before we get into the program tonight.

Most people don't drive Electric Vehicles because of the idea that an electric conversion costs thousands of dollars and to buy an electric new car is really expensive. The truth is, it doesn't cost much at all to convert an existing vehicle to run on electricity. And rather than converting your current vehicle to electric, how about buying an older car, one with a bad engine, for a few hundred bucks and converting it?

The biggest argument in favor of an electric vehicle is saving money on gas. But that argument might not wash, because the net savings over the time you own the car might be much lower than the savings per year might make you think. The problem starts with the purchase price of hybrids, which are close as you can get to an electric vehicle the average person can buy.

The BYD F3DM (now there's a hot little name!) may not be the most exciting looking car but it is ALREADY FOR SALE, but just in China at the moment, for around the equivalent of US ,000. It's also supposed to be exported in 2010 sometime.

There are two different kinds of electric car kits, namely universal and custom kits. The universal kit is made for small cars and trucks. The custom kit, on the other hand, was made specifically for certain types of vehicles. For example, a custom car kit built for a Ford cannot be used on a Nissan or any other brand of car. These kits are tailored specifically for the requirements of that specific car.

To buy or not to buy? Well it will probably not be your first car. It's price-tag make it hard to recommend if you don't live in an urban area. If you have the money and only short journeys to make in town this lively little Nissan could be just the car for you.
