Government will never take the PRC issue

Chief Minister Pema Khandu has said that during the violence against the issue of permanent residence certificate (PRC) in the capital city of Itanagar, Chief Minister Pema Khandu has said that keeping in mind the sentiments of common people, the government will never take this issue anymore.

According to a release issued from the Chief Minister's office, Khandu has appealed to people to maintain peace and tweeted that due to the death of three persons in the violence, I am very sad and frustrated and pray to God for the peace of their soul.

According to the release, he has convened all communities and all-party meetings on the PRC issue. After the violence in the state on Friday, the curfew has been extended till Wednesday morning after considering the situation of law and order.
