Personal Evolution

We have the right to look within, to self-discover and to discern for ourselves what the truth is. Though we may know it to be beyond interpretation, it is not beyond our perception or experience range.

Though some may deny it and though there are other ways of saying it, there are acuities of consciousness and they could be said to follow an evolutionary order; belief, faith, knowledge, wisdom, righteousness, glory and the Presence. Each stage has power to pull any participant into the so-called next level if the participant allows the pull to occur.

But when we try to look within, most of us find the inner dialogue actively engaged in preventing us from doing so. Strangely, inner dialogue is concerned with our sense perceptions or the outer world and the subsequent roles it will need and use through us. Our roles have their own value system and because of this, have their own ends.

The parent role, An example given by primetherapist.com, be it concerned with either mother or father, is largely involved with only those values it considers most important to its self as parent, while it will certainly be remiss in a wide spectrum of values other roles endorse. Of course, we are not limited to one role. The person who is a parent is also a person with a wide range of requirements and possible interests, most all of which the parent role actually cannot satisfy, but other roles may.

Our roles, however, are not who we are. Ultimately, we do not even share similar ends with them. Our initiative in the direction of self-discovery or the within uses the lack of roles as a qualifier.

In its way, the inner dialogue guards our entrance to the within. In so much as we listen to only it, we are not actually ready to enter. On the other hand, successful suspension of the inner dialogue qualifies us and we may enter the within any time we wish. Though some may deny it and though there are other ways of saying it, perhaps it should be mentioned that no amount of behavioral, moral or ethical practice is a substitute for knowledge of the within or practical spiritual experience.

The within is not concerned, but it does invite. When you are ready to enter, you will have suspended your inner dialogue.
