Posted by The Alchemist on December 31st, 2020

Some flavors instantly remind you of the holidays. Flavors like cinnamon, peppermint, and cranberries are just some of these flavors that transport us to Christmas day.

If you are looking for the perfect holiday flavors to infuse in your cocktail drinks, you can check out The Alchemist for more inspiration. The Alchemist offers interesting cocktail recipes that you can try at home.

But aside from what you can find from The Alchemist in BC you can also check out these cocktail drinks and the holiday flavor infusions you can find in them:

  1. White Christmas Dessert Cocktail

This drink boasts of loud notes of grated nutmeg, leaving your guests wondering what’s in it. Get a cocktail shaker and then fill it up with ice. Mix in an ounce each of heavy cream, vodka, and amaretto. Shake it well before straining on a cocktail glass. Grate nutmeg on top and you are great to go. It’s simple, flavorful, and festive.

What’s great about this is that you can use your leftover vodka. You don’t need to get an expensive bottle. Even budget-friendly ones will work for it because of the addition of the heavy cream.

  1. Moscow Mule but make it Christmas

Do you like Moscow mule? Why not add some holiday flavors in it? Get 4 ounces of ginger beer and warm it up. You can warm up the beer in your microwave or just let it warm up in a pot over your stovetop. Just make sure you don’t overheat it or the carbonation will dissipate.

Once warm, pour it into a glass and then add 1 ½ ounce of vodka, preferably the pear-flavored ones. Put a stick of cinnamon and there and let it infuse. Now you can enjoy your drink.

  1. Christmas Mimosa with Pine

Take the flavors of a classic mimosa up a notch and add pomegranate liqueur. An ounce and a half of it mixed with an ounce of cranberry juice will build up the Christmas flavors of this drink. Pour three ounces of chilled champagne. Garnish it with fresh cranberries and a sprig of pine to lend that Christmas aroma to the drink. If you don’t have a sprig of pine, you can substitute it with a sprig of rosemary instead.

  1. Eggnog Martini

Eggnogs make the perfect holiday drink. But try to give it some punch with your favorite brand of Vodka. Vanilla vodka works so well. Mix an ounce and a half of it with an ounce of amaretto and 2 ounces of eggnog. Pour it in a shaker with ice. Shake it well and then pour it into a chilled glass. Grate nutmeg and garnish with a cinnamon stick.

The Alchemist BC also has a lot of inspiring cocktail drinks that you can put your own twist on.
