You have the right frame of mind if once you hit the age of 60 you still want to be alive and kicking. Most people at that age are resigned to a life of sedentary living and just waiting for the harvester to come.

Life Does Not End at 60

There’s no need for you to give up on life once you reach the retirement age. Everyone has a right to live no matter how old they are. So, if you want to enjoy the rest of your life, here are some tips that will ensure that you will not just keep on breathing, but will be in the pink of health.

  1. Sleep only when you need to

Most elderly people stay too long in bed. You need sleep but not too much. The general rule still applies to the elderly, which is uninterrupted 8 hours of sleep, as much as possible.

Getting a nap during the day can be beneficial to recharge your energies during the day. But don’t overdo it. Maintain your long hours of sleep during the night.

  1. Take Guanabana

Cancer is one of the major illnesses that older people are susceptible to. It is better to kill cancer cells than to let them kill you. One of the most natural ways of preventing cancer cells from compromising your health is by eating copious amounts of Guanabana fruit.

Admittedly, it is difficult to buy soursoup in its natural form in Western countries. But there is a good substitute – the Graviola extract. This is easily available in any health food store in the mall or in the supermarket.

  1. Don’t forget to do your exercise

Any form of exercise is good just as long as it is designed to suit your health and your body conditions. The usual forms of exercises for the elderly are light calisthenics, walking, calibrated stretching and breathing exercises.

If you are the athletic type and have been regularly engaging in rigorous exercises, you can maintain your routine, but preferably diminishing their intensities.

  1. Eat a balanced diet

This is the time to watch what you eat. A balanced diet consisting of organically grown foods will be the best.
