Keeping Healthy During the Fall Season

Posted by cetwin on March 2nd, 2015

Once the summer is gone, the fall season takes over. If you over indulged yourself with wanton summer activities, you will find yourself going through the fall months with a lot of health problems.

There’s Still Time to Prepare

But don’t worry. There is still enough time to steel your body from the flu and other health contingencies. Here are some fall tips that will ensure that you won’t get sick during the coming months.

  1. Learn to enjoy sweet potatoes

Sweet potatoes contain good amounts of antioxidants and phytochemicals, including beta-carotene, vitamins C and E, and plenty of minerals such as copper, iron, calcium and potassium.

This root crop is also good for your digestive tract because it contains enough fibers to help you get out undigested food from your stomach.

  1. 2.    Get used to eating Graviola fruit

Graviola, otherwise known as Guanabana is a very effective health booster. Because of its potent substances, it has been regarded as a natural cancer cell killer.

The Guanabana pulp is rich with elements that are effective in killing parasites and harmful microbes. It is also effective as an anti-depressant and recent studies have indicated that it may have chemotherapeutic properties as well.

This fruit is a native of the orient and in some parts of South America. But you can buy Guanabana extract or capsules in any health food store near you.

  1. Don’t forget to exercise regularly

The best way to keep your body strong and healthy is by maintaining your regular exercise in all seasons. This will keep your system at the optimum and will give you a positive frame of mind since exercise also keeps your blood flowing through your brain.

  1. Stop Smoking

If you have been partying with your friends all summer, you might be induced to smoke a stick or two several times. Kick the habit right away. It won’t do your respiratory system any good. And the best way to trash the habit is never to procrastinate, but to do it right away.

  1. Keep your regular sleeping hours

It’s time to go back to your regular 8 hours of sleep. Summer is over and there’s no more need for you to stay awake partying all night.
