A Historical Journey To The Past Newbridge Village

Newbridge is often a small tourist village in the Central West of NSW that welcomes visitors and campers. Newbridge was founded being a gold mining town, the Post Office opening on 1 February 1856. Newbridge village developed across the railway line and station which was internal 1876. Newbridge is often a popular camping and fishing location with campsites available along the river. A point of pride for your town, the city have kept your building beautifully maintained, and Newbridge has won several awards for just one of the finest presented stations in the state. One of Australia's oldest and largest regional galleries presenting innovative exhibitions alongside an engaged and varied suite of public programs and events. If you would like to determine a few of the displays from the Camera Group then visit Ye Olde Gallery at the corner of Trunkey and Caloola Street in Newbridge. The Newbridge Winter Solstice is a day of medieval magic and music. It takes place all the time (closed for your occasion) as well as on the Gladstone Green. The entertainment has contained magic shows, Viking fighting displays inside the afternoon (from Iron Fest participants), food stalls, Morris Dancers, many market stalls, two bands (one inside afternoon and another for your night), horse display, street entertainment and other activities to the younger people. There is going to be drink which is available from the Gladstone Hotel (Strong Ale, Draft Guinness and other merry-making fortifications also!). There will probably be Attractions Newbridge to suit everyone (vegetarians included) from food stalls at the same time as the Pub. Most people will be dressed up in Medieval Costume to add to the merriment. The highlight of a special afternoon festivities will likely be the lighting and burning with the Wickerman around the large bonfire at 5pm. People are inspired to buy small Wickermen earlier, write their problems for the tag and later throw them around the fire to get them burnt away!
