Cars, still bad news for the second-hand marketPosted by Lone on November 26th, 2021 The transfers of the used two wheels are also in redThe used car market, and associated sectors such as that of RC Auto, continue to see red compared to both 2020 and 2019. And it is no better for either mini-carts or two-wheelers. The data emerges from the latest statistical analysis carried out by the Automobile Club. The decline compared to 2020The sale of used cars recorded a marked slowdown: the month of October closed with a decrease of 12.6% compared to the same period of 2020. To show the extent of the decline, the Aci underlines how each day, on average, 8% fewer cars. The comparison with the pre-CovidComparing the data of October 2021 with those of the same month of the period before Covid (October 2019), the results are certainly no longer comforting: the decline remains double-digit (-12.1%), thus highlighting a persistent weakness and not due to the commercial roller coaster experienced at the turn of the pandemic. The mobility market (which also involves insurance and fuel) therefore remains anchored to incentives. Miniature, radiation, and registrationMiniatures, i.e. temporary transfers carried out by owners who dispose of used cars in favor of dealers who will resell them, are calculated separately. Even looking at these data, however, the scenario remains gloomy. Indeed, the red is getting worse: the mini-crops mark a drop of 25.9% year on year. The decrease in ownership changes is accompanied by a reduction also in radiations (cancellations from the Pra), which fall by 21.7% compared to 2020 and 17% compared to 2019. Curious is the comparison between radiations and new registrations: by now four months the first exceeds the second. The two wheelsThe balance of transfers of used motorcycles is also heavy, albeit with less worrying figures than cars. In October, ownership changes fell by 4.7% compared to the same month of 2020. Radiation from motorcycles also slowed slightly: -3.4%. Like it? Share it!More by this author |
