The statement appeared to refer on the removal NPCs and other items named in honor of former WoW WoTLK Gold game director Alex Afrasiabi, named in the California lawsuit for allegedly having an ongoing pattern of sexual harassment. Activision Blizzard has since confirmed that Afrasiabi was fired from the company during the summer of 2020 due to violations, and that items and NPCs associated with Afrasiabi have been taken out of the most recent version of Shadowlands However, they are remaining for WoW Classic.

Some of WoW's biggest Content Creators Have resigned From The Game

Two of World of Warcraft 's biggest creators of content, Preach Gaming and MadSeasonShow and MadSeasonShow, have left Blizzard's long- MMO for a better life however, they each have their own reasons for moving on.

In a video that was released today "End of an Era - Why We're No More Covering WoW," Preach explained Preach's decision to cease daily WoW broadcasts, invoking recently filed California lawsuit against Activision Blizzard over the company's suspected "frat girl" culture rife with sexual harassment and the condition of WoW's current Shadowlands expansion. Preach said that in light of recent allegations and the reaction from Activision Blizzard leadership, he no longer feels comfortable promoting Blizzard's game.

"That is exactly what happens in the relationship I have with Blizzard with regard to having a huge public," Preach says. "We produce content, we review content that is development. We get to see things a bit ahead of time to make sure we get it to you as a promotional tool.The lawsuit has led to the departure of several Blizzard veterans such as former Blizzard director J. Allen Brack and the former lead level designer Jesse McCree. The World of Warcraft character sharing McCree's name is set to buy WOW WoTLK Classic Gold undergo changes to its name shortly.
