  • Compliance audit

An experienced auditor will come to your site and perform a detailed audit in order to measure compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act of 1993 and its Regulations. It will start with an examination of your health and safety file, legal appointments and administrative compliance. This is followed by a walk through inspection of the premises. You will receive a detailed audit report, listing all contraventions with recommendations for remedial action. Photos of deviations are included. The report will be kept confidential.

  • Health and safety training

We offer a wide range of training solutions to assist you in achieving legal compliance. Remember the Occupational Health and Safety Act of 1993 requires the employer to make several legal appointments and provide training in order for them to perform their duties. We offer training for both Management and employees.

Examples of legal appointments and training required by law:

  • Health and Safety Representatives Training: The OHSAct of 1993 requires the appointment of health and safety representatives for workplaces with 20 or more employees. The employer is required to provide training in order for them to perform their duties.
  • First Aid training:The General Safety Regulations require the appointment of a first aider where more than 10 employees work at a workplace. There needs to be at least 1 first aider for every 50 employees. Obviously more may be required depending on work schedules and the size of the workplace. First aiders need to be appointed in writing and be trained by an accredited training provider who will issue them with a valid Level 1 first aid certificate.

 

  • Construction health and safety: The Construction Regulations require a variety of legal appointments. Some examples are: Construction Supervisor, Safety Officer, Risk assessor, Fall protection officer, Scaffolding supervisor, scaffolding inspector, fire equipment inspector, etc. All these appointees need to be trained and certified.
  • Fire Safety training: Fire is a common workplace emergency.
